Visa requirements
Citizens of EU Member States, their family members and family members of Slovene citizens may enter with a valid identity card or passport. In the first three months after entry, persons may reside on Slovene territory without registering residence. To find out if you require a travel visa for entry into Slovenia, please consult the information provided by Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Transportation to & from Ljubljana
By car
Motorway connections are with Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia. A complimentary route planner is available at viamichelin or tiscover. Local traffic information is available at AMZS.
By plane
Ljubljana International Airport (Brnik) has direct links with Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Budapest, Brussels, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen, London,Manchester, Moscow, Muenchen, Paris, Prague, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich, among other. Flight information is available at adria.si or www.staralliance.com. There are several flights daily available from Ljubljana to many European cities.
Transport between Ljubljana and the Airport
There is a regular bus service between Ljubljana Airport and City centre. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on the bus or at the bus station. By train
International train connections are available to all European capitals. Please consult the available national or international rail connections.
By coach (intercity bus service)

Accommodation
Special rates for AMSE2011 conference participants are available at selected hotels: Hotel Park (until June 6, 2011) and Hotel Lev (until June 10, 2011). When booking accommodation at these hotels, please cite the reference AMSE2011.

The Organising Committee also recommends other hotels that are located in the city centre since they are located within 15-minutes walking distance from the venue. For available hotels please consult visitljubljana.si.
